Baby Kitten in the Basket PDF Amigurumi Pattern

Baby Kitten in the Basket PDF Amigurumi Pattern (1)

Shall we make a cute kitty in a pink basket? Moreover, you will need to make the basket with yarn and it has a very explanatory explanation. I can’t say that I like the patterns that are only crochet codes. Patterns with explanatory text can help you progress faster in the making stages of the amigurumi toy because they clearly tell you what to do. We can see a similar design technique in today’s kitty amigurumi pattern.

Gray colored yarn was used in making the cat amigurumi toy. The cat’s eyes look quite big with black safety eyes. In addition, the kitty has a pink, tiny nose.

Designer: vsevyazanoe

The size of the toy when using the specified materials is about 9 cm including the ears. The size may vary depending on the yarn, hook, density and style of your crocheting.
When crocheting, watch the shift of the loops and the symmetry of the toy. If necessary, crochet additional sc or, conversely, decrease.
Stuff the toy as you crochet.

Materials used:
– plush yarn (I have himalaya dolphin baby)
– hook #4
– filler (holofiber, synthetic ball, etc.)
– scissors
– wide-eye needle
– eyes on a safe fastening 12 mm
– black thread for decoration (I have yarnart jeans)

Abbreviations
Ch – chain stitch
Sc – single crochet
Dec – decrease (sc 2 stitches together)
Inc – increase (2sc in 1 ch)
Hdc – half-double crochet
dc – Double Crochet
tr – Treble Crochet
Sl st – slip stich
( )xn – repeat n-time
Rnd – round

Kitten
1) 9 sc in MR
2) 9 inc (18)
3) 4 sc, (paw (lush loop of 3 dc), 2 sc) x 4,
2 sc (18)
4) 1 sc, tail (10 ch, in the second loop (one!) from the hook 2 hdc, then along the chain 8 sc, sc in the base of the tail), 17 sc (18)
5-7) 18 sc (3 rnds)
8) (1 sc, dec) x 6 (12)
9) 12 inc (24)
10-13) 24 sc (4 rnds)
14) (2 sc, dec) x 6 (18)
Insert 12 mm eyes between the 12th and 13th rows at a distance of 4 sc.
15) (1 sc, dec) x 6 (12)
16) 6 dec
Cut the thread, secure it, close the hole, hide the end of the thread.

Do the tightening at your discretion (it can be done through the neck or through the very bottom of the toy). I do the tightening of the eyes through the neck + vertical tightening between the eyes to highlight the cheeks.

Ears
We attach the thread on the right side (the toy is facing us) between the 13th and 14th rows, in the same loop we crochet a sc, in the next loop (! one) we crochet hdc + tr + ch + hdc, in the next loop sc and slst.
Cut the thread, fasten it, hide the ends of the thread.
Crochet the second eye symmetrically and similarly to the first, only the other way around, starting from the top (between the 15th and 16th row) and moving down to the eyes.

All that’s left is to embroider the eyebrows and the bridge on the muzzle with black thread, and also glue the nose (I have it between rows 12 and 13), and your kitty is ready!
