If you take a look at the elephant amigurumi patterns I have shared before, I have not shared an elephant amigurumi toy that we can call a beginner level. Now I want to introduce you to an elephant amigurumi pattern that even our new followers can easily make. The elephant amigurumi toy is made using a fuzzy yarn and the toy has a pink skirt.
Amigurumi Elephant with Pink Skirt Pattern
However, I think the color choice of this skirt would be a nicer choice if it was one of the gray tones. We see that there is a flower-shaped hair clip on the upper left side of the elephant amigurumi toy’s head. If you wish, you can make this hair clip in a different way.

Legs:
OK, this is the trickiest part because your working with some really small areas, just be extra careful and it will come out right. 🙂
1) Make 1 Dec, then locate the middle stitches on both sides of your crocheted round, (these 2 stitches are left UNWORKED) and pinch together, making two leg holes on either side of them. each leg hole should have 6 stitches. (see image)
Now, keeping the yarn attached, start to crochet in a circle, to start the first leg, (see image below) Your first stitch should join the circle. 6 sc (6)
2-3) sc (6)
Cut yarn, leaving a tail, and sew through all the front loops of stitches, then pull closed.
Next leg:
1) Attach yarn, work 6 sc, this time your LAST stitch should join the circle
2-3) 6 sc
Cut yarn, leaving a tail, and sew through all the front loops if stitches, then pull closed.
Sew up gap between legs.
Trunk, Ears, Arms:
Trunk:
1) Ch 6, skip first chain, sc in all the rest.
Ears:
1) 6 sc into a magic ring, turn
2) [sc, Inc] (18)
Arms:
1) 4 sc into a magic ring
2) [Inc, sc] (6)
3) sc (6)
Skirt:
Attach pink yarn to one on the front loops you made earlier that is positioned at the back of your elephant.
1-2) [sc, Inc]
You can try making it as big or small as you like, adding frills, or taking it away all together!
Assembly:
Sew trunk on 2nd to last row of head (counting from the top down)
Embroider eyes around row 5 of head (vertical stitch)
Sew ears on either side of head, and arms, right below head.
