Actually, this amigurumi has some history. Like most designers, I draw a lot of inspiration for my designs from current trends, social media and of course the crochet community. A while ago (before this blog even existed), I saw a post on Instagram where a crochet unicorn was so cute. Then I started sharing. The amigurumi unicorn that I will share today is one of them. I hope you will like it. Now let’s make this cute unicorn amigurumi step by step.

Materials
Yarn
Mondial Basic Cotton (100% cotton; 110m/50 gr); 1 ball in 010 color (MC) and 1 ball in 162 (CC).
Some fantasy yarn for the hair, you may use some leftovers of mixed colors as well.
Hook
3 mm (if your gauge is loose, you can use a smaller hook)
Others
2 safety eyes, polyester fiberfill

For the first leg, cut the yarn leaving some tail and fasten off.
When finishing the second leg, don’t cut the yarn and just continue working on the first one to create the hips.

Cut the yarn leaving a tail to sew the arm to the body and fasten off.
Finishing
Stuff the horn and the arms. Sew the head and the arms to the body.
Sew the horn and the ears to the head. Don’t stuff the ears, you can slightly squeeze them and bend them to get a nice ear shape. You can pin everything before sewing, to get the optimal design.
To create the hair, cut 20 cm pieces of fantasy yarn, and attach them using the tassel technique to place hair on the head and in the tail (how-to video linked in the pattern notes). Embroider the nostrils with CC, and the eyes in the case you didn’t use safety eyes.
